Welcome to the Convention of the Scientific Staff
The Convention serves to provide KIT-wide information and to form opinions among the group of scientific employees at KIT. This includes the academic staff (according to § 10 para. 1 sentence 2 no. 2 LHG) as well as the scientific staff and the scientific-technical staff (according to § 14 para. 3 sentence 1 no. 2 KIT Act). It currently consists of more than 90 elected and delegated members.
The Convention is the basis for the dialog between the KIT management level and the scientific staff. The main tasks of the Convention are to bundle the opinions and concerns of the KIT scientific staff and to make recommendations to the KIT bodies, to support the mutual flow of information between the KIT bodies and the scientific staff, and to improve the lively dialog and networking between persons from different areas. The Convention represents the scientific staff through representatives in Senate Commissions, Steering Commissions of Priorities and Centers, Program Commissions, Appointment Commissions.
